  4. if u search this serial number in wd website u can get the complete details of your hard disk warranty based on that u can claim the warranty. when comes to bill ask the dealer to provide duplicate bill or some times they don't need bill i think, why because this hard disk registered with u r name i think so check once where u purchased harddisk

  8. i called customer care in 3rd week of JAN 2013 regarding replacement HDD which is under warranty ,serial no-WCAV5J109288,product no.-WD10EARS-00Y5B1.my RMN NO-84263940.i was told that HDD will be collected on 28th JAN 2013 by company executive but no one came till the date'..i mailed again to remind a few days back but no one replied..plz suggest me how to get replcement* ?

  28. Chor Company hai behnchod... meri HD abhi tak nhi aai .. 2 month ho gye...

    1st call kri kehte hai abhi aapki HD mili nhi hai...

    2nd Call kri aap ki HD aap ko 2, 3 days main mil jayegi...

    3rd call aap ka serial no system se match nhi kr raha.....

    4rd call aap ki HD warehouse main hai, aap ko wapis nhi milegi..

    5th call jab aap ki HD vapis nhi milegi, uska seal broken hai...

    but meri HD IN WARRENTY hai till 2014

    My name is Pawan Khattri, around 3 years back, I had purchased a WD 500 GB hard drive, which didnt work after 2 years of usage...I had registered a complaint with WD support, after which you responded and said that "you'll arrange a pick up from my place"...which didnt happen until now (Its been an year since i registered complaint)...

    Please look into the matter and assure a prompt action regarding the same as i have some really important data in that hard drive...I had purchased WD only because of your commitment of "door to door" service...Which i feel now is not correct...

    Kindly go through all the trail mails which we exchange around last year for return process...

  36. All of sudden my 2 TB HDD is not getting detected.Its under warranty.. When I called technical support they say we cant do anything either you go for replacement or go to some 3rd party data recovery . We cant help .. WD SUCKS big time...by the time its working its fine..After that you are on your own no help... I dont understand why they call themselves technical support...Jokers...Dont ever buy this company`s any product..I am thinking to discuss this matter with some advocate to lodge complaint against this crap company & product.

I had sent my hdd by creating RMA no. and then they had informed me that my hdd seal has broken .I dont know why they are saying that because from my side i had never touched the hdd and still I cant find that broken seal on my hdd .I would like to file a case in that situation against wd .I had no other choices ,they are trying to fool the customers by blaming on them and show faults in thier items.

Still no reply from the WD, nor I have received my Hard disk.. and in the web site, the RMA status is showing as CLOSED.. I do not understand any thing..
